This magazine comes with a flush-fit floorplate installed and an adapter in the box for use in the standard Security-9. Not recommended for use with the Security-9 Compact. Extended Mag Improves Gun for Me

These mags not only add 2 rounds the capacity, they also add ~1/3" to the length of the grip. Makes a much better fit for folks with larger hands. I shoot better with these mags. Obviously, YMMV.

Perfect Addition to larger hands

Have a Ruger American 9 and recently bought the Security 9.
Really like the Security 9 but I have larger hands and the 15 shot mag left my pinky hanging off the bottom.
The 17 shot mag is the perfect solution, Ruger original parts, have used them for around 150 rounds at the range, don't miss a beat.
