The loader works very well when you have your ammo on the clips in the box facing the same direction. If you have loose packed ammo it'll still save your thumbs!

I used it on 7.62x39, .223, and 5.56 and was able to get 11 mags loaded under 10 minutes easy if not faster! It has two levels of lips to accommodate these different rounds.

An important note is that it doesn't "lock" your magazine in place so you have to hold the mag and loader together or else your rounds will slide right out the bottom of the loader. Just a little quirk, but I'm still happy with the purchase.

Had my son reloading mags by hand so he'd know how to and familiarize himself more with his gun, then arrived the loader and I showed him how and his reaction was priceless on how fast, and his now seen eagerness to reload all the mags now ... got him again, as I keep emptying them out hahaha
