Description

This is the Shield Arms S15 magazine catch/release for Glock 43X/48 pistols.

Shield Arm’s steel mag catch is optimized to work with the Shield Arms S15 magazine. While it remains compatible with plastic OEM magazines, it can cause increased wear on plastic mags with prolonged use, and OEM mags may not drop free. Shield Arm’s does not recommend using their steel mag catch with plastic OEM mags. They recommend steel on steel or plastic on plastic. If you have a first generation aluminum mag catch, it may not work with gen 2 S15 mags. Shield Arm’s recommends upgrading to one of their steel catch offerings.

Great with a little modification (filling)

My Glock factory mags had trouble ejecting & dropping free with this Glock 43x mag release. I ended up filing the inside by the mag catch & on the inside of the button, to make the whole inside wider. Now it works flawlessly for Shield Arms S15 mags & factory Glock mags. Not sure why this wasn't manufactured to spec so I wouldn't have to file the inside to use Glock factory mags.

Losses 1 start for having to slightly modify it to work with Glock mags
