The Sig Sauer NEXT launch caused quite the buzz, and has brought forth numerous new releases from the established manufacturer. Primarily, Sig focused on new optics and additions to their firearms lines, but it did introduce a few truly new products, including a rangefinder and a never before seen pistol.

Sig all around. Source
We’re going to dive into the new offerings and talk about features that you, the shooter, can benefit from. I’ll break it down into sections, as there are a ton of new products.
Optics
JULIET3T-AMR MAGNIFIER

Adjusting to compatible optics is insane. Source
Magnifiers are extremely common these days, but the JULIET3T-AMR is far more advanced than most, featuring an Automatic Modified Reticle system that adjusts the optic when paired with compatible sights.
Despite having an aircraft-grade aluminum housing, it’s also 30% lighter than leading magnifiers, which is a huge plus for shooters who want to keep their builds as lightweight as possible. As expected, it’s also IPX8 waterproof and fog proof to perform in demanding conditions.
ROMEO8T-AMR

Changes reticles when Juliet is detected. Source
The Romeo 8T-AMR works in conjunction with the Juliet 3T-AMR and was developed to pair with it seamlessly. It features a large lens that adjusts reticles in response to the use of the Juliet, providing a more precise reticle for longer mid-range distances.
With 15 brightness settings, night vision compatibility, motion activation, and an IPX8 rating like the magnifier we just discussed, it’s truly ready for anything.

Like the Ballista scope from Black Ops 2. Source
Sig is sending its customers into the future with a long-range rifle scope that makes the guesswork a thing of the past. The Bravo6T-BDX returns to its original zero with the click of a button, features live feedback, and utilizes Bluetooth capabilities to work in conjunction with the KILO WARP rangefinder for precise adjustments.

Mil-Radians, anyone? Source
It also measures temperature, humidity, and pressure independently to help with extreme precision. The monolithic mount with diving board even lets you add rail-mounted rangefinders, if you have the extra money to spare!
Pistols
P226-X LEGION

Who doesn’t love the P226? Source
The P226-X Legion builds on the one pistol we all love from Sig Sauer: the P226. In this iteration, the P226-X Legion is the top-of-the-line variant with all of the things you love on the P226 X-Five.
This includes a bull barrel for increased accuracy, an adjustable trigger for a customized feel, enhanced ergonomics to fit comfortably in your hands, and a full-metal design for a sleeker look and improved balance in your hand.
Of course, it comes optics-ready for all of the new Sig optics.
P226-XCARRY LEGION

And who wouldn’t love to carry a P226? Source
Take the P226-X Legion and make it smaller. That’s pretty much what you’re getting here. It’s more focused on a concealed carry role, but features the same match-grade style bull barrel, full metal features, and optics readiness.
The only difference is the size. Of course, that makes accuracy and recoil a bit harder to control, but the balance is still there, which will put it leagues ahead of other pistols in its category. You might want to wear it with a suit because of how well it looks.
P320-MAX SXG

Ahh, a competition gun you can’t use in competition. Nice. Source
The P320-Max SXG is ready for all types of competition, featuring a removable magazine well and steel grips with Hogue aluminum grip panels for optimal grip and balance.
The bull barrel and flat blade trigger enhance accuracy and consistency in your shots, while the aggressive front slide serrations facilitate quick loading and press checking. This is a competition gun through and through, even though it may not be allowed on the competition field due to being a P320.
P211-GTO

Staccato pricing on this thing is not sitting well with the community. Source
The P211-GTO is Sig’s first 2011. Looking at it, you’ll notice the built-in compensator that is said to lower recoil by 30%, and a match-grade bull barrel (like most competition guns) that, of course, is far more accurate than standard barrels seen on most factory guns.
It utilizes P320 magazines and features an ambidextrous design to accommodate both right and left-handed shooters, along with a skeletonized 1911-style trigger. With three different safeties and a full steel frame, let’s hope it’s a recipe for success.
SIG RESERVE COLLECTION P320-SXG

Beautiful gun. Don’t trust it, though. Source
A completely steel frame with a shiny black DLC paint scheme, integrated compensator for reduced muzzle rise and better accuracy, and a flat trigger to match. The P320 SXG Reserve looks like something out of a John Wick movie.
It does not have a manual safety like many P320s (it should) and would probably look better off in a case.
P365-LUXE

But you can trust this one. Source
The P365-LUXE is similar to the P320 Reserve, which has an integrated compensator and a completely steel frame. The high-polish DLC coating is identical to the one found on the P320 Reserve. The only difference is the pattern on the grips and (of course) the size.
I would go with this over the P320 in a heartbeat.
P365-FLUX

A complete package. Source
Many shooters have been fond of the P320 FLUX, so Sig has refined the platform to make it smaller and more compact for even greater concealability. The P365 FLUX features a six-inch barrel shroud to enhance its usability in personal defense situations and a Picatinny rail for optics.
It features a deployable brace, allowing you to get to work quickly, and an ambidextrous magazine release. Additionally, it offers a 46-round capacity, making it fully capable of getting you out of a bad situation. It takes the P365 to a whole new level.
P320-MAX 2.0

Another competition gun that can’t be used in many competitions. Source
The P320-MAX 2.0 is another competition-focused gun from Sig Sauer that features all the essentials you would want in a race gun.
Tungsten-infused grip, aggressive slide serrations covering the slide, a large magwell, and a springer precision extended magazine release. It’s specifically designed to give you the best a Sig can offer on competition day.
Rifles
516-MOHAWK

Best rifle from Sig yet, in my opinion. Source
The 516-Mohawk is not your everyday AR-15. It utilizes a short-stroke piston system, which is far more reliable and cleaner than the direct impingement typically found on the AR-15. It also features a non-reciprocating side charging handle as opposed to the standard charging handle located at the rear.
Most notably, all the controls are ambidextrous, making them suitable for both left and right-handed shooters. You’ll find plenty of M-LOK and Picatinny space for all of your favorite accessories, whether they are Sig offerings or not.
CROSS SAWTOOTH 6.5 PRC

Hits hard, goes long. Source
The CROSS rifle has had some success for a while. It’s a hunting rifle, but not in the traditional way of being heavy to carry around the mountains. It’s only 6.6 pounds and is fully capable of reaching out to 1,000 plus yards.
The Sawtooth takes it a step further, utilizing the 6.5 PRC (Precision Rifle Cartridge), which excels at longer distances and is favored by long-range shooters and hunters alike. The Sawtooth features a 2-stage adjustable trigger, a 22-inch barrel from PROOF Research with a heavy-profile brake, and is available in a mossy green finish.
Suppressors
HEXIUM

Hexium due to the pattern. Source
The Hexium is a direct thread 3D printed suppressor with a modular end cap and flow-through design to push the gases outward instead of back at you, which can save you from lead poisoning and cancer later on.
It is available for 5.56×45 mm, 7.62×51 mm, and .300 Blackout. The name is derived from the Hexagonal pattern on the outside of the suppressor, at least I’m assuming.
ENDURE

Unique aesthetics meets performance. Source
The ENDURE is similar to the Hexium but is designed for bolt-action rifles. It uses the same flow-through design and modular cap and is available for .30 caliber rifles.
TiN CAN

We’re at musket length here. Source
Similar to the Hexium and Endure, but with a 3D printed titanium core and, like the Endure, it’s available for .30 Caliber bolt action rifles.
Rangefinders and Spotters
OSCAR6™ HDX PRO

Being able to attach this to your phone is helpful. Source
The OSCAR6 HDX PRO is a spotting scope with Optical Image Stabilization, which makes a world of difference when trying to see what’s out there, particularly in terms of the speed at which you are moving the spotting scope.
The HDX PRO Optical System helps reduce glare while enhancing light transmission, so the sun doesn’t overwhelm you. With an integrated ARCA-SWISS base, several included accessories, and the advanced technologies just mentioned, it helps justify the steep price tag.
KILO® WARP

This is probably the most remarkable thing on the list. Source
The KILO WARP rangefinder was designed to work in conjunction with the new BRAVO6 scope, which features Bluetooth capabilities and adjusts accordingly based on the feedback provided by the rangefinder.
Utilizing the diving board on the mounting system for the scopes, it sits right on top of the scope, which makes it damn near dead-on to whatever the scope is seeing. It also has dedicated wind input and a daylight-readable display, proving that Sig paid close attention to the little details.
Conclusion
Some of these new offerings are impressive, but some, such as new competition P320s, are likely going to fall short, especially given recent events.
However, it’s always great seeing a manufacturer pump out new products to meet the community’s ever-growing demands. It will be interesting to see how all these wind up selling over the next several months.
Be good and take care.
