You read that right; this is a 15-round magazine for the Glock 43X and Glock 48. Not only does it provide you with 50% more capacity, it does so in the same overall footprint! 

This patented 15-round steel magazine fits flush like the factory Glock magazine, thanks to Shield Arms’ patent-pending staggered magazine geometry. The steel receives a QPQ Nitrocarburizing surface treatment that increases hardness, wear, and corrosion resistance.

While this magazine is a great option to pack more rounds into your Glock 43X or Glock 48, it is essential to note that you must swap out the OEM mag catch for a Shield Arms mag catch. Here’s why. If you don’t swap your mag catch you may have reliability issues.

GEN 3 IMPROVEMENTS 

What changed with the Gen 3 design over the Gen 2? Shield Arms made the following improvements:

• New US-based manufacturer
• Raised ribs on the back of the magazine allow it to fully match the OEM magazine position in the mag well, which should eliminate any tolerance stacking that results from Glock frame variations
• New steel, new coating, new heat treat process – the new steel is slightly thicker, tougher, and now comes with a new standard black nitrocarburized QPQ finish for a high degree of corrosion resistance
